The introductory course on Korean cinema will provide a broad background in classical and contemporary Korean cinema that considers a variety of perspectives. The six chosen Korean films will encourage students to examine Korean history, culture, society, and people within geographical and political contexts….

3. The Host by Bong Joon-ho / 괴물 (봉준호 감독, 2006)
4. 1987: When the Day Comes by Jang Joon-Hwan (장준환 감독, 2017)
5. Little Forest by Yim Soon-rye / 리틀 포레스트 (임순례 감독, 2015)
6. HaHaHa by Hong Sangsoo / 하하하 (홍상수 감독, 2010)
