We will examine the history of Korean cinema, “Korean-ness” in culture and society,
and film genres and narratives with these three films:
1) Little Forest by Yim Soon-rye / 리틀 포레스트 (임순례 감독, 2015)
2) The Host by Bong Joon-ho / 괴물 (봉준호 감독, 2006)
3) HaHaHa by Hong Sangsoo / 하하하 (홍상수 감독, 2010)
* This course will be given in English.
Qualifications
This class starts on the 25th of March, 2022 for 10 weeks- FREE
Reading Korean alphabets is needed.
